FAQs

Here are a selection of typical questions that visitors to this website have asked or might ask and, for convenience, an answer to that question. If you do not find your question asked and answered here, you may of course send an e-mail to our company for a reply: hannacroix@aol.com. As noted below and at other places on this website, we do not accept unsolicited submissions; we appreciate your understanding in that matter and prefer NOT to receive inquiries about specific unpublished manuscripts or projects that you are pitching to publishers.

Do you accept unsolicited manuscripts?
No. We are unable to accept unsolicited manuscripts at this time.

Can you suggest other publishers who do?
Getting published is a challenging task. It's daunting but possible. There are many resources out there that can help you in your quest. You can contact publishers directly or you can try to find an agent who will help you sell your work. If you want to try to find an agent, Hannacroix Creek Books, Inc. founder Jan Yager, Ph.D. has written an article about How to Find an Agent. It is from her forthcoming book on writing and getting published, The Complete Help Book for Authors and Publishers. You can access it for free by clicking on this link:

There are numerous excellent resources if you are looking for a publisher. The Literary Market Place, updated annually and published by Information Today, is available for sale or as a reference at your local library. The Writer's Market, updated annually as well, has extensive information on publishers, what type of books they are looking for, and how to contact a particular house. Jeff Herman's guide to editors and literary agents is one of the most popular guides to finding a publisher. It's also available for sale or at your local library.
